Coronavirus Consults – Doctor Online Oklahoma:

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a novel (new) virus and respiratory illness.  Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed COVID-19 cases.  The most common symptoms are fever, cough and shortness of breath and may appear 2-14 days after exposure.  The outbreak began in Wuhan, China and has now been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).  There is currently no vaccine or antiviral treatment for COVID-19.  The recommendations for prevention include practicing good hand washing, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, and practicing social distancing.

If you are sick with COVID-19 or think you may have it and symptoms are mild, please stay home and schedule a “Coronavirus Consult” with Doctor Online Oklahoma where we are happy to discuss your symptoms, provide guidance, triage patients, and ultimately provide timely resources.  We hope to help patients and to prevent spread of the virus as well as offload some of the clinics, hospitals, and ER’s here in Oklahoma.  If you are experiencing more severe symptoms and suspect related to COVID-19, such as shortness of breath or respiratory distress, please seek emergent care and contact your nearest ER prior to arrival.

We can help you determine your next steps in the convenience and comfort of your own home.  We can also treat other conditions to help patients avoid waiting rooms where they might come into contact with the COVID-19.  See our Medical Services page for more details on conditions and see our Scheduling page to make an appointment today!

Additionally, The Oklahoma State Department of Health has implemented a Coronavirus Call Center at 877-215-8336.  See their website for more details or ask us while on a video visit, coronavirus consult.
